I have also been trying to delete duplicate church donor files. I followed a procedure very similar to what is listed above, but rather than clearing the church field I replaced the duplicate entry with the correct one. When I run the report to list all donor files with the dupliciate church entry I get no results (as I wanted). However, when I tried to delete the file I still got the same error message. What else can I do to be able to delete the file?? |

abortion calls and total abortion vulnerable contacts

Our center has more contact with clients considering abortion over the phone than we do in visits. Handling these calls is an important part of our ministry. I would like to see an easier way to track abortion calls and how many of those clients do later come in to the center. Couldn't abortion call be an activity that could be counted like a pregnancy test?
The reports also focus only on counting the intentions of clients with a positive pregnancy test. The numbers I want to know are: ... |

Many of the abortion callers do not make appointments. A few do, and others may say something like "Maybe I'll try to come in next week but I don't know when." Some are referred to other centers closer to them. But the majority already know they are pregnant and are not willing to come in. So tracking appointments still would not help track all these calls. |

Client intake - relationship over information

At our center the only form the client is asked to fill out is a very simple "request for service" which gives the purpose of the visit, how they heard about us, and also has our disclaimer (we are not medical, etc.). When a volunteer interviews the client, she has the intake form in front of her but other than writing down the name, DOB, etc, and making a few checkmarks now and then, she focuses on listening to the client, using reflective listening, interpreting feelings, and open-ended ... |

I just wrote a donor thank you letter. I am new to Centerpiece so I changed the "target report" a few times in the process but ended up with Donations. I entered mail merge fields for donation amount, date, etc. as well as name and address.
When I hit Save - I got a display with lots of numbers rather than my letter. I closed it and reopened it by clicking on edit next to the name of the letter, and got the same display. How do I get back to being able to read my letter? |

I tried again with a new letter and it worked fine, but now I can't delete the bad one! It still displays all the numbers and does not give me the option to save or delete at the bottom. Can you delete it for me? - the one I want to KEEP is "donor thanks". |

What about abortion callers who don't make appointments? I have not yet tried the appointment book, but I assume it is geared for a specifice appt at a specific time, rather than "maybe I'll try to come in next week sometime." I guess I could put down an arbitrary date but I don't want there to be confusion as to whether she actually made a specific appt or not.
Also, i have discovered that I am not able to record "concepts shared" on an abortion call, since a visit date is required. I ... |

I can enter abortion calls by entering correspondence without a visit, and use "abortion call" as a category. But how would I measure how many of our abortion callers later come in for a visit? Or how many we have a second phone contact with? |

I have been experimenting with the database. I entered a client visit, assigned a follow-up email to be sent, and marked it as completed. But the email did not show up on the client record as a correspondence. Does each follow-up activity also have to be entered as a correspondence in order for it to be visiible on the record of client activities? |
