Merging Donor Files

| We are needing to be able to merge donor files. Example; Mary & John Doe are married, so 1 file. For the walk each person walks individually , so one file for Mary and another for John. They also give throughout the year. For end of year giving receipts, we need to be able to merge the files in order to give them a correct end of year total. The only way that I have found to merge is to go back into the event and replace the names and all information which going back and forth can take a very ... |

| I have a question regarding pledges. After a pledge is fulfillled is there a way to make it inactive without changing totals? For example; Banquet pledge 2007 remains open and a new pledge comes in for 2008. You have the option fo choosing either pledge. I would like to be able to only choose the current (08) pledge. I do see that there is a cancel box on the bottom of the pledge intake form but I am concerned that if you use that it will cancel all records of the old pledge. I would like to be ... |

| This is my second request, my first has never been responded to. I am wanting to be able to make a pledge "fulfilled" or' "inactive" after the term expires. I do see a delete button, but I do not want to delete the pledge completely. Example: 2007 banquet pledge, then 2008, and 2009. All of the catergories remain open. I want to be able to inactivate 2007 and 2008 so that only donations for 2009 are entered into the 2009 pledge.

| On the donation screen, you are able to select where to distribute the donation and if there is only one pledge there it is fine, but if there are 3 pledges open, ie. Ban 07, Ban 08, Ban 09, you are able to select any one of them. I would like to be able to "retire" 07 and 08 and only use the current one 09. Or if the pledge total had been fulfilled, be able to retire it, so that it would not be posted to the incorrect one by accident. I hope that I am making myself clear. |

| Thank you Sarah. I did know that the delete box was there but I was afraid that it would totally delete the pledge. Your last statement said that if the pledge is fulfilled that it would no longer display in the list of open, but it still is listed in the dropdown of pledges on the donation page. That is why I was concerned because each time I have to open the pledges to find out which one to post it too. I hope that you understand what I am trying to say. I may not show when I print out ... |
