I am unable to bring up an organization when posting to groups. Is there a way to bring them up without knowing the persons first and last name? Often we don't have a name connected with the organization.
Also, is there a way to create a form in mass for all pledges and donors? It is very time consuming to do this individually. Why is this not done automatically? |

Hi Rose,
This is a small bug. We will release a fix later this evening. Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.
To preform mass mails, you need to do mail merge using MS Word.
Do the following:
1) Create the form in Microsoft Word.
2) Save any list (from any report) to Excel.
3) Use the Excel file as the mail merge data source document in the form letter.
Note: You can use the same file for creating Labels in MS Word also.
In a future version, we will automate this process for you which will make mail merge much easier.

Thanks brian for fixing that bug.
I think you misunderstood my second question. I am not doing a mass mailing.In putting information into members under groups, I am then adding the donation or pledge. Is there a quicker way? |

I think so. Assuming you are opening their file to add the donation/pledge.
Here's a quicker way:
When you enter a "member" or a "sponsor" in the dialog, be sure to select a gift type. then when you close the dialog, a link should appear next to the members name allowing you to either enter a "donation" or a "pledge" (based on the gift type you selected). Just click the link and the appropriate donation/pledge dialog will open. It will also "pre-fill" the event/group information for you.
