Batch Receipts - Organization Name

Hi! I'm running my year-end statements by running batch receipts and then choosing report and letter on the next screen.
Why doesn't the "organization" show up in the address? We have a lot of businesses that give to us and it would be appropriate to show their business name in the address.
I have to use the batch receipts because I want to show each instance of giving for the year. |

Hi JVanture,
Happy New Year, it's great to hear from you! The mailing label defaults to the Title+FirstName+LastName if it is an individual record OR the organization name if an organization records (when file this record as a company is checked within the record)
Individual Label
Mr. & Mrs. John Smith
123 Main St
Elmore, WA 99350
Organization Record
ABC Lumber, Inc.
P.O. Box 456
Elmore, WA 99350

Thanks for your response! For your consideration: It would be nice to also have the first and last name on the organization label. In larger businesses there is the chance that something addressed generically to the company will not go to the proper individual, or anyone at all because it might be seen as junk mail. We do what we can to make our envelopes stand out, but that doesn’t mean it will to the person sorting the mail.

Hi Jvanture,
I will mark your feedback on our feature request list for future consideration, until then a lot of centers will put that as the first line in the address field "John Smith" see below for an example.
ABC Lumber, Inc. (Organization)
John Smith (Line 1 Address)
123 Main St. (Line 2 Address)
Elmore, WA 99350

But I don’t think that’s an option when doing batch receipts. Maybe I’m missing something.
To run my 2019 statements I use batch receipts, the sum of tax deductible amount, , choose report and then letter. I don’t have the option to choose which fields it uses for address at that point. But that’s the only way I can figure out how to have it show each transaction.
If I choose view as letter I can’t figure out how I can get it to show each transaction. Is that possible? I would have to use merge fields, which isn’t a problem. But I don’t want one letter for each transaction. |
