Problem with Online Giving Connector Posted: 17 May 2018 08:52 AM |
We are having a problem downloading transactions from eGiving through the Online Giving Connector. As you probably know they recently changed their software. I inserted the new API key under Setup and tried to download transactions and got this message:
"Processing Complete!
One or more errors occurred. - The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send.
Continue"
It also said 0 out of 0 transactions had downloaded.
Is there something else we need to change?

I believe we posted a fix for this issue a few days ago. Are you still getting the error today? |

Also, please confirm you are using the eGivingNCS connector. |

Yes, we're still getting the message today.
I'm not sure what the eGivingNCS Connector is. |

When setting up the connector for the NEW eGiving account, you need to register with the connector name "eGivingNCS". Using the old connector called "eGiving" will not work with your new migrated account. |

I was having an issue as well getting the online donations from egiving to download after they updated their site.
I found out that I had to select egivingNCS, but then I could not figure out what username they wanted. When I entered the Partner Code (from egiving) where it asked for the username, it worked. |

Do you recommend deleting the original egiving link under the Online Giving Connector once we set up to the new connection? Will deleting it, delete any info connected to the donations? |

The system won't let you delete the old eGiving connector if any transactions have been downloaded. For now, just leave it and remember to use the new one. In the future, we might add a "disabled' flag you can set so it won't show up in the download screen. Hope that makes sense. |

Thanks so much for your quick response. Yes, this makes sense. I was afraid to just delete it without checking.
A "disabled" flag would be great so we don't have to select the correct one each time.
You are always doing a great job with keeping things updated and more user friendly.
