Non-monetary donations
Posted: 05 Sep 2017 10:39 AM
Hello!

Does Centerpiece have a way to file non-monetary donations like items for our baby store?

Thank you!

Hi Elizabeth,
Great question! The best way to track Gift-In-Kinds is to add a donation form under their donor record, specify the "Payment type" of "Gift-in-kind" with "Amount Received/Tax Deductible" amount as $0 you can enter a summary of the items received in the "Receipt Comments" which are printed on the donation statement they receive. Let me know if that addresses your question, have a GREAT day!

Blessings,
Ashleigh

Hi ElizabethLamont,

It is great to hear from you. Yes, you may enter the "Gift-In-Kind" donation into the Donors file by putting in a ZERO dollar value and then can use the comment section to note what the item(s) are. The Donor would be the one to file that receipt with their taxes at the end of the year and claim the value then.
I hope this makes sense and is helpful to you. Please call your designated Account Manager should you need further clarity. Our support and training is always FREE and it is our pleasure to serve you!

Have a great week!
