Using Non Nurses for pregnancy tests.

I have at time faced not having enough nurse volunteers to work at our centers. I have had EMTs, QMAs and Nurse Aids want to help. My doctor and I are willing to sign off on them to do pregnancy tests. We plan on giving them training on doing the UPTs just like the nurses. I would like to know what other centers are doing to stretch non licensed staff in nursing shortages?
Please any help?

| Our center utilizes self-testing when when the nurse is not scheduled and the client does not want to wait and schedule an appointment. |
