Walk entries
Posted: 23 Jun 2014 12:59 PM
Is anyone else besides me confused at the titles in the Events for the Walk? In my world, a walker is a walker and walk captain is over a group of walkers, and the church is (usually) the church that the Walk Captain and walkers attend.

Apparently Ekyros made this a 2 tiered event, but everyone I know does Walks as 3-tiered (walker, captain, church). Does anyone else do it 3-tiered?

I'm a bit frustrated because even when children are walking, I have to enter that child as a donor to enter them as a walker... or should I say "walk captain"?

Hi Gail,
I am sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties. Our Event section is not specific to a Walk, Golf, Banquet, etc. It is universal. Your Group Name (Table number, walker name, participating church, etc.) is just how you want to refer to that group, where the Group Captain is who is in charge of that group. In the instance of Children you could have Group Name= Jane Doe, while Group Captain is a parent (Sally Doe) or add the child as a donor.

Please give your Account Manager a call and we can discuss the event section in greater detail as well as detail any feedback you may have. If you are unsure who your Account Manager is I have included my contact information below. We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Blessings,
Ashleigh

If I entered it the way you state, would it show the child as a walker in the reports? In other words, if I want to create a report for a walk captain, as to who and how much each walker raised, would that child show, or just the parents?

Thanks, Ashleigh

Hi Gail,
Give us a call and we can talk through this scenario and show you in our demo room what that report would look like each way. We look forward to talking to you soon.

Blessings,
