Ability to copy Donor/Staff files into another section
Posted: 04 Jun 2014 03:44 PM
We usually put our volunteers in both our staff and donor section of Centerpiece. It would be great if there was a way to copy over the information from one section or the other instead of typing it all in twice.

Hi Mkmatjeka,

It's great to hear from you, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and what would help you out at your center! What center are you with so I can detail your request and add to our feature request list?

To give you an idea of the procedure for feedback we have a feature request list with all the detailed feedback that centers have provided to us-- When we are ready to begin working on our next release we review the items on the list based on priority of 1-10 and then implement the feedback based on the criteria of usability for all centers, ability to integrate into CenterPiece, degree of interruption (how big of a change) and popularity (frequency of the request). If we discuss your feedback during the process at any time we will be sure to provide you an update on what was discussed.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Blessings,
AshleighCool

I'm with the Pregnancy Resource Center in Rockwall & Mesquite, TX. I am always entering new volunteers in the Staff section, then having to go back and re-enter them in the Donor section.

Thanks for keeping me updated!

Hi Mkmatjeka,

Perfect! Your Account Manager is Margie Mayes at ext:102 should you need phone support. I have detailed your request under your centers account. Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback, I understand how this could benefit you during data entry. Have a GREAT day!

Blessings,
Ashleigh

We have been saying for quite some time that it would be great to somehow have some sort of crossover. We have several people who are in both our Donor & Staff Modules. This feature would be OUTSTANDING! Thanks for all you do! You all are wonderful!

God Bless,

Hi Sandy,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us! I definitely hear what you are saying, we have discussed the possibility-- event for the 2 files to reference one another so if you update in Donor, it updates in Staff Management. The complexity comes in to play when having a single file but changing the behavior or viewing options based on WHICH tab (donor/staff) you are in. This is on our feature request list to be considered for a future update, however due to the complexity I don't know if/when it would be implemented. Again I will add it and continue to bring up during our development meetings, I just want to be honest in how likely this is to happen in the near future.

Our current development goal(s) for upcoming releases are document storage, batch donor data entry, and the ability to track volunteer hours. If you have any other questions and/or feedback please don't hesitate in contacting us. Have a GREAT weekend!

Blessings,
AshleighCool

Ashleighg,

I thank you for being honest with me. I thought it might be a bit involved. (I know JUST enough about programming to get me in trouble!) I thank you as well, for bringing it up again at your development meetings. Can't wait to see the upcoming changes! God bless you and have a wonderful weekend!

God Bless,

Hey all,

We have some donations that come through a community foundation that receipts the donor. We still want to acknowledge their gift and mark that they gave, without it showing up as a double entry donation. How can we do that, or can we on Centerpiece?

Thanks!

Hi bpccounselor,

Yes, without knowing the specifics of the situation, you can put a donation in for the full amount to receipt the community foundation and then put in donations with 0 amounts with a comment on the donation form that indicates they gave via the foundation. You can type "soft credit" into the check number field and many centers will create/apply an event/appeal with the name of the community foundation so that you can easily grab up all those donors with the event applied on the 0 amount donations and send a letter to them as well. I hope this makes sense. We can walk you through more help with the specifics of your situation if you contact your account manager, but soft credit situations are definitely doable.

Kind Regards,

Amy

This sounds like you want to create a soft credit. correct? Please call our main number @ 469-293-3079 and one of our reps will explain how to do this in CenterPiece. Thanks!
