merging duplicate files

Is there a way to add "Date of Birth" as way to narrow the search in the list of duplicate files?
I find that we can have 2 files w/ same first and last name but different adresses. I have to open each case and check the DOB to see if it is the same person. Having duplicate DOB show in the list would be a great help.
