Signed Pregnancy Orders

| Help! I am a new Nurse Manager for a Crisis Pregnancy Center. We recently started using the Center Point for charting. My Director has some concerns regarding not having a doctor's order signed by the nurse on the chart, for both a urine pregnancy test and sonogram. What are other centers doing? |

Hi joneski,
Hopefully other people can help weigh in on this as well, but at my center our doctor signed these items physically in the paper chart only. Since we kept both a paper and an electronic record, we had the information in the physical chart. I hope this helps.

Hi Joneski,
We also had copies of the signed order (from the medical director) that the nurse then signed, dated, and put in the client's paper chart as well. Hope this helps!
