transferring donations into event donations

| What would be the most efficient way to edit donations that were recorded under individual donor files instead of under an event? I neglected to put the donations under the event tab and am hoping that there is an easier way to add them under that event instead of deleting each individual donation. Help! :) |

Hello! You can still go in and create your event...then instead of deleting each individual donation, you can just go in and link them to the event you have just added by selecting it in the drop down. Likewise, if you built out the event with Group Captains/sponsors when you create it, you can go in and link the event group captain as well. Hope this helps!

| The event was selected on the individual donations but the group captain was not. I just went back to try to choose a group captain so that the donation would be added under the group and the amount added to the total donation received, but it is not allowing me an option to choose a group captain. It is only showing an "unknown" option. |

| I should have included in my email that the event and group captains had already been created (baby bottle drive). I had just neglected to record the donations under the event tab by adding the sponsors that way. I have about 50 donations that were put in wrong and are not showing up under the event. |

| if the gifts were entered on a certain date/date range, try running the donations report by date range. in list view, click the "Open" link to open the donor file and update the donation. then click back button in browser a couple times to return back to the report and click on the next gift in the list. repeat this until you've updated all your donations. hope that helps. |
