It seems that over time we have entered churches in a variety of ways. Can you tell me the best way to set up a church that is a donor. We want to list the pastor. Should we be using categories to help with reporting and have church and pastor as a categor? |

Hi Charlotte,
My suggestion would be to enter the church as a donor file with "File this record as an organization" checked. You will want to list the pastor as the "first/last name" fields on the file.
It is best to start with 4 categories Busines, Church, Individual & Newsletter. This allows you to easily pull "groups" of records out of the system. Some centers create: monthly donor, board member, and/or possible volunteer. Again the purpose of hte category is to easily filter out "groups" of records to send mailings, see their giving, etc. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
