false-positive test results Posted: 26 Nov 2012 03:33 PM |
We have encountered a new experience that resulted in a false positive test result. How do I record that in EKyros? |

Hi Ivonck64,
Can you tell us a little more about what causes the false positive? That would help to determine better how to track it.
Regards,
Amy |

It is a client who had an abortion and came back in requesting a pregnancy test 3 days later. |

Hi Ivonck64,
I hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving holiday. My suggestion would be to mark the test as positive and then set the outcome to abortion. Another option would be to mark the test as inconclusive because you know it is positive however the client is no longer pregnant. If you are affiliated with any national organizations (CareNet, Heartbeat, or Focus on the Family Option Ultrasound) you can call and inquire to how they would suggest you track, for statistical purposes, this type of data. Does that make sense?
Blessings,
