Donor Management Report - Lapsed Donor

| I am needing to run a report for donors who came over from a previous software program that haven't donated. We switched to Ekyros in 2010. The lapsed donor report won't get the information I need. Any suggestions? |

Hi opperman90,
I would recommend running 2 reports to compare: your Donor Files Report, run without any filters, will give you your entire listing of donor files that are in your system. If you compare it to the Batch Receipts, run with a wide date range, you'll be able to see who has and who has not given, and you'll be able to get a list of people who have never given. Hi Opperman90,
You could run the lapsed donor report for 2010 prior, then those would be everyone who has not given from your previous system for a certain date range. Does that make sense?

Hi Ashleigh and everyone. I am trying to pare down our donor data base and we are trying to identify donors who have never given up through 12/31/2007.
I was thinking about running the batch receipts and all donors reports as suggested in prior posts, but then I thought I would try the lapsed donor report as you suggested above. These are the parameters I used. Do you think this would give me the info I want? I know it's kind of backward, so I may be eliminating donors I'm not aware of.
Gift Year (Start Date) 1/1/2008 Gift Year (End Date) 12/31/15
No Gift Year (Start Date) 1/1/1986 No Gift Year (End Date) 12/31/2007
What do you think?

Hi Jaye,
I can see what you are attempting, and I honestly don't know what kind of results that will return. My concern is that donor would have had to have given a gift between 2008 and today to show up with the criteria set that way. So even if they didn't give a gift from 86-07, would you want to delete them if they've given since 07?
Just my thoughts.

| Hi Amy! I think this question is somehow algebra related -- not my best subject! I thought with the parameters I used above it would show me the people who have given since 2008, and anyone who never gave before then. Am I right? |

Hi Jvanture,
I hope you had a great weekend! The purpose of the report is to provide you a list of donors who gave within a certain time frame and then did not give in an alternate time frame-- the report does not work retroactively as that is not how it is intended, I'm sorry. My suggestion would still be to run your batch receipts for 1/1/1986-12/31/2007 and then run a secondary list for 1/1/2008-current and manually compare the 2 lists. Does that make sense? |
