Setting up/Integrating with Quickbooks

What do the three options do differently in set-up? I think I may have changed mine. I don't know which one to set it on so that my posts will go into items for deposit in Quickbooks. They are going directly into my register now instead of posting for deposit. Please help me choose what to do to correct this issue. It wasn't set this way at first. Thanks, Janet

Hi Janet,
This sounds like a setting was changed in QuickBooks, not specific to the connector. Please try opening your QuickBooks company, along the top toolbar click Edit, select preferences, along the left hand side click "Sales & Customers." This will provide you with 2 tabs "My Preferences" and "Company Preferences" select company preferences. Along the bottom of the window you will see "Receive Payments" please make sure the third option "Use undeposited funds as a default deposit to account" is checked. If it isn't check this option and then click "Ok." While I am not a QuickBooks expert, this is a possibility. If you have further questions don't hesitate in contacting us.

Thanks, Ashleight, that worked. I don't know how I changed it. I would still like to know what the three options are used for in the Ekyros.

Hi Janet,

I apologize. There are 3 posting options you can choose from when posting gifts to QuickBooks.

•Post contributions to summary account. Some centers do not want to include donor names when posting gifts to the QuickBooks company file. When you select this option, all gifts are posted to a summary account call "eKYROS.com Summary". Please note each transaction posted to QuickBooks includes the donor's file ID and the batch number (to be discussed in the next section) in the memo field of the transaction. This is required so you or your staff can reconcile back to CenterPiece™ if any questions arise about the transaction in QuickBooks.

•Post contributions to summary account when amount is <= $$$. This is similar to option 1 if the amount posted is less than or equal to the amount specified in the box. Otherwise, the customer account is created using the donor's name.

•Post contributions to detail customer account using donor's name. All items are posted to a customer account in the donor's name when this item is selected.
