New Case Visit Posted: 28 Jul 2010 09:27 PM |
Hi. I'm starting on end-of-the-month checking for errors in our data entry. There is one client with that is showing up as "New" on the 14th and again on the 20th in the statistical report, but when I went to the Activity Screen to correct it, there is no Case Visit showing for the 14th.

Hi Karole,
Thank you for the inquiry. I think it is great that you are checking your data for errors. Could you contact your account manager. I know that they would love to help you by reviewing your data with you. Sometimes it is easier to discover an error when we are together looking at the data. Thank you and we look forward to assisting you. Christij |

Re: New Case Visit Posted: 25 Aug 2010 11:14 AM |
Hi. Never was able get to talk to MargieI about this, but last night I checked the new clients back to the first of the year and had another client show up twice on the results for new. The activity screen showed only one Case Visit, but the appointment for it was recorded on the wrong date. Corrected that, ran the report this morning, and she is now listed correctly only once. That may be an FYI for Brian since appointments don't seem to be tied to the case visit form from anything I can see.
Also, I've gotten myself confused about the purpose of the Case Visit form. Is the visit type supposed to represent the client or the case? I've been using it to track new and return clients and not whether the visit was for a new case or return visits for a case. I think part of my confusion is over the difference in the title of the statistical report - Client Visit statistics - verses the form name - Case Visit form.
Thanks as always for your help.

Hi Karole,
I apologize in the delay of getting back to you. You are correct that the appointment form is in no way connected to the case visit form. The purpose of "Type of Visit" new vs return is ultimately up to you. It can track the case status (new vs return) but more importantly and used most often is the status of a client (new vs return).
Blessings,

Hi Karole,
You can find the number of cases entered by going to the client management tab, statistics, client case statistics, run report. If you are wanting additional measures (outcome, case status, etc) you can add those. This will provide you the number of client cases entered for 2010.
Blessings,
