Firefox vs Explorer
Posted: 22 Mar 2010 03:03 PM
We have changed some our computers to Firefox instead of Explorer. Your system doesn't recongnize Firefox. Can you add to your system requirements, Firefox so that we can open Ekyros? We understand most people are switching to Firefox Browser because it is a superior browser. Also on the client intake form the line "If you test is positive, what are your intentions? Abort, Carry to Term, Undecided" is not on the new forms. Our director feels it shoud be there as some of the women want an abortion when they come in.

Thank you

At this time CenterPiece requires Internet Explorer (IE). FYI: IE is just as secure as the other 3rd party browser's. We've discussed this already many times out on the forums...below is a link for your reference. You can also search the forums for Firefox to review all the threads...

As a side note, what forms are you referring specifically to that have not been updated? I appreciate the details so I can take to the development team. Have a great day!

Blessings,
Ashleigh

The form is the old Pregnancy Test form line # 14. I don't how old the form is. Thanks for getting back to me.

Hi Rrozansky,

Question #14 of the Pregnancy Test Form states "If you plan to carry to term, what are your intentions? --Adoption --Parent --Undecided " Abort would not be an option for this question, if client has stated "Abort" than you would record that under the Office Use Only Portion, 5b, "What is the client's stated intentions after support?"

If we can be of further assistance don't hesitate in contacting us. Thank you for your feedback, have a great day!

Blessings,
Ashleigh

I tried Firefox this AM. The logon attempt msg said I needed IE 5.5 or Firefox 3.6.3 version.
I have copied the Firefox version screen below:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729).
Is my trial premature?

Hi Keith,
I apologize for any confusion and/or inconvenience for your center. Our minimum and recommended system requirements are listed below for your use. As Brian stated we are currently not compatible with any browser besides Internet Explorer at this time. Don't hesitate in asking further questions.

Blessings,
Ashleigh

I had read this thread and thought I'd try it since I favor Firefox. I thought the message was telling me that I could use Firefox Version 3.6.3 and that is what I was reporting - the box said V3.6.3 and my login failed when I attempted to use that version.

My interpretation of the login message was in error. I found it misleading although it is correct when read as intended. Since the 'your browser version' is contained in the same box as IE, I thought it was supported. Can't advise how to make it better except maybe listing the two separate messages into two boxes.

Sorry for wasting your time.
