re: intentions after counsel Posted: 11 Apr 2005 11:43 PM |
On the pregnanyc test form, I am unsure how to respond with a particular client. The client came to the center undecided, and definitely abortion vulnerable. After counseling however, the client decided to carry to term. however, she was still undecided about whether or not she would parent or make an adoption plan. On both the pregnancy test and the sonogram forms, our only choice for carry to term is parent. There doesn't seem to be a selection for a client who has chosen to carry to term, but hasn't decided yet whether or not she will parent or place for adoption. i don't feel that undecided in this case truly represents what has happened in the counseling room, as she is no longer undecided regarding abortion, or carry, her indecision is in regard to adopt or parent.

Hi Terry,
Thanks for the feedback. We will be adding a new field that says: "Car'y to Term (undecided)". This will allow you to track girls who want to carry the baby to term, but are undecided about parenting or placing for adoption.
Thanks,
