PACE clients Posted: 11 Apr 2005 09:46 AM |
I was just wondering how other centers are tracking the PACE clients. I see in the user's guide that it suggests putting them in as a class. Sounds like a good idea. My question has to do with the participants. Many/most of our participants of PACE are not actually clients of the center, but volunteers or people we have met through church contact. Does it matter? Is that still the best way to track them? My other thought was to assign a license to our PACE director and have her track her clients solely through that. Please advise us.
Thanks again. I so appreciate your support. You are so prompt and caring in helping us to learn this new program. |

Hi Terri,
Just a question about PACE - Is that an Earn-As-You-Learn type program? If not, can you explain the nature of the class so I can understand if it would be best to track it in Client Management?
Thanks so much!

PACE is our 10 week post abortion Bible Study, that is attended largely by new volunteers, as well as people that hear about it in our churches. A small number of actual clients go to the Bible study. We offer it to men and women, though in separate groups and led by members of the same sex.

If you wish to track people in client classes that are offered at your center, you will have to add them to the database as a client file first. The class roster only accepts client files for enrollment. As you record attendance in your PACE class, it will also add an attendance form to each attendees file under the activity tab.
Hope that helps. |

Can you think of another way to track PACE participants? Like I said, most of our PACE participants are not clients who will be in the system. They will not have a file.
We also are tracking participants in the schools who have attended our BE the one Clubs, and none of these participants are clients or have ever gone to the center for anything. This club is an abstinence support club in schools and other organizations.
We also need to track church and youth group "group presentations" of our abstinence materials. Any suggestions on how to do that?

Hi Terri,
At the center where I worked, we did track the post abortion classes (we called it PARG) in client management. Just like you, a lot of the participants were volunteers or people who were only coming for PARG and nothing else. The reason we decided to track it in client management was because we felt that those individuals were "clients" in that they were receiving services from our center. |

In regard to the PACE clients, we can do that.
Did you have any suggestions in regard to the abstinence clubs? Would you do them the same way?
How about tracking large group presentations where we don' t have the names of every person in the group. We still need to track how many presentations, and how many in the group. How would you do that? |

In terms of large group presentations where you don't have names of every person, we will be adding an "Outreach" tab under client management. Here you will be able to track each presentation, and the number of people who attended it. This will be available in a future release of CenterPiece.
In terms of your abstinence clubs, i suggest you handle them the same as your PACE classes.
Hope that helps. |
