Copy/Paste--New Letters
Posted: 30 Oct 2009 09:24 AM
Hi, again! :)

I'm hoping you can tell me why when I copy a new letter from a Word document into New Letters in e-Kyros, it pastes additional information that was not typed on the Word document? I'm going to include a copy of the latest example of this below. Please send me your thoughts, so I don't have to keep going back and deleting sections of the letter. Also me know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks!
Melissa

EXAMPLE:

Dear {DearName},

On October 15th, 428 guests attended our Banquet at the Hanover Marriott. It was a night filled with blessings! One of the most memorable parts was when Teresa Ashkinazi spoke. Her daughter came to our <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /?><st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Montclair</st1:place></st1:city> center and through the counseling and ultrasound, decided to give life to her grandson. Be encouraged by this bit of her story:<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /?>

Emma first told us she was pregnant on April 7, 2008. How can one be prepared for such words? Your beautiful high school girl in which you have such dreams and hopes for a smooth life is now crying before you devastated about her situation….Confused, Emma had visited different centers in unbelief that she was pregnant…one place she described was cold and rude. In this place the message of hope and life was not told to her. But you see, this is not only my daughter’s story or my grandson’s story but our Heavenly Father’s story, His story to rescue a life by using a pregnancy center called First Choice….The staff of First Choice greeted her with love and true concern. It was there that she met her son, Nathaniel, for the first time. Her decision was made and Nathaniel Adrian was born on September 13, 2008.

Your gifts make it possible for us to minister to women like Emma and her family. Thank you for standing with us!!!

In Him,

<st1:personname w:st="on"> Aimee Huber </st1:personname> , Executive Director

This is a function of Microsoft Word not eKYROS. We have no control what characters MS Word includes in a paste operation. The extra tags/characters are Micrsoft proprietary tags specific to Word. You may notice a Word icon on the letter editor toolbar. Clicking the icon will help "clean" the results after pasting from Word which removes most of the characters...we do our best to help you out, however, it's not perfect.
