Event totals Posted: 23 Apr 2009 01:48 PM |
This may be a very easy answer but I need to triple check...
We recently had our fundraising banquet and the results were excellent. I've had to look at our numbers numerous times to be sure the final total is accurate. Am I right to add the total donations plus the pledges that have not been received yet to find the total money raised? Therefore, if our donations are $15,000 and pledges not received yet is $5,000, our total money raised would be $20,000. Or are the pledges not received already totaled into the donations category. I would hate to be doubling up on the total. |

Lcctrfalls-
Great question! Can you explain to me what report you are pulling so I can better answer your question? Thank you for the clarification. I look forward to hearing your response.

Re: Event totals Posted: 23 Apr 2009 02:21 PM |
When I look at the events page I see "Total Pledged" and "Total Donations". To my understanding, when a pledge has been received, it is added to the total donations. How do I find out exactly how much money has been raised through the donations and pledges? I hope I am making sense.
I'm still so new to EKyros I want to make sure I'm reading the results accuratley. I have found the pledge reports listing those who have made pledges and out of those, which ones have been received. Do I need to add up the pledges that have not been received yet and add those to the total donations? |

Lcctrfalls-
Thank you for the clarification! When the pledge has been received it is NOT added to the total donations within the events page. To find the total received through donations AND pledges you would go to donor management, reports, event group contributions by group captain, select your event, click run report. This will reflect accurate information IF you have inputted all of your donations tying them to the specific event "09 Banquet" and to a specific group captain "Table 1 Brian Paul." If you have not tied them all to the group captain this WILL NOT reflect the correct information. In that instance you would need to pull donations report by event, and pledge report by event to find ALL tied to your event "09 Banquet."
If I can be of further assistance, or am making myself unclear please don't hesitate to contact us again.
Blessings,

Re: Event totals Posted: 15 Jul 2009 11:16 PM |
my experience is that the donations do increase though the pledges don't decrease
example:
events pledged donations
Capitol Walk 2009 $10,906.00 $13,501.00 154 572
our donations recieved day of event was just over $5000
pledges were 10.906.00
the amount pledged does not decrease- but the donations column increases as pledges are filled.
this is misleading.
I have called support and I hope this is something that can be improved. |

Sueoc-
Thank you for your feedback! This HAS been passed along to development, and from there, will be discussed and possibly updated as time allows. Please understand we are in the process of completely revamping the "Event' portion of Donor Management which will include new and improved reports. Thank you for your patience and your attention to detail. Have a GREAT day!
Blessings,

Thank you for all you are doing.
I know we can pull up reports to get accurate info- and that is good.
I do hope you are able to change it on the events page however- because it would make life easier for meand when you see the history of events in that page it would be nice to not have to pull reports to compare past years every time...
An accurate snapshot would be really nice to have.
I know you are looking at it- and will do what you can.

Sue-
If I understand you correctly you would like to be able to have a comparison, by year, of selected events correct? What would this look like? How would this help you and your center?
Thank you for your AMAZING feedback and your thinking outside the box! I love it.
