Dear Name

| I would like to see the default for the Dear Name changed to input "and (Spouse Name)" if there is a spouse. We currently have over 650 files without the spouses name in the Dear Name becuase we forgot to uncheck the Auto-update. The Auto-update should default to include the spouse name also. This would be a huge help to us! Thanks. |

Thanks for this feedback. We are going to look into this further. There has been some debate on how this "Dear Name" field should be auto-calculated, but we definitely do understand the value in what you described. Thanks for taking the time to let us know your thoughts!

I was about to post the same request. If a spouse's name is entered in the donor record, it should be the default assumption that they should be automatically included in the ProperName and DearName fields.
My vote is for an early update on this as it's a basic and frequent activity. Although the Auto-Save feature can be unchecked, it's very easy to forget that and not realize the auto-saved fields are incorrect. Seems counter-intuitive that the system uses less than all available name fields for the default auto-save mode.
