making appointments

| We are new to using the appointment book. My question is, when making an appointment, when does the time slot show as busy? Is it at the save or when the resource room is selected for that appointment? We may have two people making appointments at one time and want to be aware of this. Thank you! |

Hi Sandyc,
The specific time slot on the Resource Free/Busy screen will not show as busy until the resource has been selected AND the appointment form is saved. However, if there is ever a time that 2 people are trying to book the same resource at the same time, only ONE person will be able to successfully save this appointment (whoever clicks the save button first). The other person will get an error message telling them that this resource is already booked. So, the system will not allow the same resource to be double booked at the same time, which will give you some added protection from booking too many people at one time.
