Is there a way to allow someone access to the information in Donor Management without being able to change anything? We would like to have the ability to have someone be able to go into the files and print reports but not have the ability to change any files. |

We plan to add a "read only" role for each module (client, donor and staff) in a future update. |

It seems that the vital separtion in each of the mangement sections is not between the different sections (Client, Donor, Staff, etc) but between the basic information and their records. For instance, in Donor Management, the basic files reveal contact information, but do not reveal the actual gift activity of that individual. Any division would seem to be most appropriate at this level. Thus you might have someone that has the security to enter the basic contact information, but does not have the ability to see or modify the giving records. This division seems much more logical than the seeming abitrary division between the different modules (Client, Donor, etc.) . Basic contact information could be entered by several, but the restriction would be to be able to see the details (Client=History, Donor=Giving, etc.). I know that we have visited this topic before, but I have had more time with the program now that these "breaks" seem to be more vital. |
