printing notes
Posted: 13 Aug 2008 05:47 PM
We have begun to print off the notes for each client before a visit so that our volunteer can be up-to-date on what has been discussed with the client in the past.
When we first started they seemed to print fine, but now the right side of the paper is not printed the last few letters of each line. We print using the file summary report.
Can you tell me if I have changed something inadvertently or if there is someway to adjust the file.
Actually, it has started cutting off the side of our upcoming appointment report for each day also.
Thanks,
Kristi Pine

Hi Kristi,

How are you printing--are you exporting to a web page or Word before you print, or are you just hitting the "print" button? I tested this out on my end by hitting the print button and by exporting and all of the data printed completely. If you could tell us the exact steps you're going through to print, that will help us pinpoint the problem.

Thanks!Smiley

Sarah

We are just hitting the print button. I have not tried exporting the data. It has worked in the past but recently it started dropping off the sides. It also drops off of the print form of upcoming appts. I thought you might have an idea as to what might be happening, but I can also check with our computer person and ask him if he knows what might be happening.

I have been encouraging our volunteers to type their notes when finished with the client. This way my data entry person does not have to decipher handwriting.

Thanks,
Kristi

Sorry I have not gotten back to you sooner, I just forget to come to the section to read the forums. It would be nice to have a way to get from the software to the forums without going out of the login area. (At least I have not figured out how to do that if it is possible).

Kristi,

I am happy to help you with this. I agree that typing the notes in CenterPiece is much better than trying to decipher handwritten notes. Plus, they are all in one place in the system!

Let's try a few things:

1) Can you tell me exactly which reports you are printing where the info is dropping off?

2) Do you have older versions of what you are printing that you could compare? For example, is the font bigger now than it was?

3) Do you when this problem began?

Let me know and I will get back to you ASAP. Sorry you are having trouble!

Bless you,

Tommy

Hi Kristi,

I just wanted to update you that we posted a small update to the system last night, that should hopefully make it easier/cleaner for you to print using the "Print" button at the top of the File Summary Report. Hopefully this will help resolve the issue you are having. :)

In Him,

Sarah
