Tests and Cases
Posted: 16 Jun 2008 08:46 AM
We have clients who come in for tests almost monthly. Do we create a new case for each test? Should we consider it a retest if they did not have a cycle between tests and only create a new case if they did have a cycle between tests?

Thanks
Louise

Louise,

You are correct that you should create a new case for each test. An easy way to look at it is “New Test = New Case”. Each potential life gets a new case assigned. There is one exception to this rule, however, and that is when a pregnancy test is a "Retest".

As far as retesting goes, if you think it is the same pregnancy, or potential pregnancy, then it would fall under the same case. This goes for all retests. I would say to use your judgment about the cycle between test issue. If you think it is a new potential life, then go ahead and assign a new case.

Great question! Here is another forum thread that has some information that you might find helpful regarding this. https://www.ekyros.com/Pub/Forums/ShowPost.aspx?tabid=14&PostID=2531

Bless you,

Tommy
