Need report of designated fundraiser Posted: 30 May 2008 09:59 AM |
I am having trouble getting a report of our baby bottle fundraiser this year. When each donation was entered, I designated it as Baby Bottle Boomerang under "Event/Event Group Captian". Now I am trying to get a total of all donations given for that designation for 2008.
I tried to go to "reports" and then "donations by designation" and then selected "baby bottle boomerang" for the event with the dates from Jan 1, 2008 until today. My report keeps coming up with no entries. What am I doing wrong? I just want to know a grand total for 2008 Baby bottles.

HI Threesa,
A "Designation" is very different from an "Event." "Designations" are marked at the bottom of the Donation form in the area called "Campaign Designations," which is where the "Donations by Designation" report is pulled from. "Events" are marked in the "Event" field on the Donation form. From your post, it sounds like you only marked the "event," which is just fine for what you are wanting to track.
If you are wanting a total of all donations brought in through an event, I would recommend running the Donation Statistic (found under Donor Management/Statistics). You can set you "Event" filter for the Baby Bottle Boomerang to see the totals just from this event.
