pledge Posted: 24 Apr 2008 09:59 AM |
I am attempting to enter a new pledge that will be given using our EFT system. Once I have everything entered, I am receiving an error message in red at the top of my screen about in input string. What does this mean and how do I fix it? I have entered pledges before just like this and had no problems at all.
Thanks,

hmmm...i can't seem to reproduce it. can you provide each value you are entering in the form? You don't need to incude the donor's name, just the values of each pledge field including:
Startdate=?
NumberOfPayments=?
PaymentSchedule=?
PledgeAmount=?
PaymentTerms=?
PaymentType=?
etc... |

Here is what I entered. I tried again this morning with the same result.
start date: 4/21/08
# of payments: blank
Schedule: monthly
Pledge amt: 50.00
payment terms: 25
type: EFT
event: Individal donation
Thanks for the help.

Hi Threesa,
Thanks for the info. I was able to reproduce the error by are entering a space " ", in the # of payments field. Make sure nothing is in this field. (position your cursor at the end of the field and press the backspace key 1 or more times until all spaces are removed and the cursor is moved to the beginning of the field. We'll fix the problem in a future update to strip any leading spaces. Let me know if that works. Thanks!
