donation form Posted: 19 Mar 2008 10:14 AM |
I have been wondering about something on the donation form. When I enter a donation I would like to go ahead and print a receipt then to mail out. We have been having to go into reports and print them that way. I noticed at the bottom of the donation form there is a box that says "print receipt" and you have the option to check or uncheck. I assume this was put into place to give you the option of printing from there. Is that correct? If so, ours does not print. Do I have to go into ekyros somewhere and set up a printer? Also, can you add a letter to this receipt before it prints?
Thanks,
Threesa |

Hi Threesa,
The only way to print receipts is to run the "Batch Receipts Report." This report will give you a formatted receipt, and will also allow you to create receipts for more than 1 person at a time.
The "print receipt" checkmark that you are referring to(found at the bottom of the Donation form), is just one of the ways that you can create a specific batch of receipts. The Batch Receipt report has a specific filter (on the "report options" screen) called "To be Printed" that will allow you to create a batch of receipts for only the donations that are marked with this checkmark. I hope that helps clarify what thsi checkmark is used for, but if you have any questions please let me know!
Have a blessed Easter!

If I have "print receipt" checked when I enter a donation and then print receipts from the batch report "To be printed" option, will the receipts I printed now be "unchecked" so that the do not print with each printing of batch receipts? Or do I have to go into each one manually and uncheck the option? (I hope that makes sense-it does in my head) :)
Thank you for all your help,

Yep, your question makes perfect sense! Once you have run your batch of receipts, there is a box found at the top of your screen that says "Clear To Be Printed Flag..." If you click this button, it will automatically clear all of the checkmarks for each of the donations in the batch that you run. So by using this feature, you will not have to manually remove the checkmark from the Donation Form yourself. :)
Hope that helps!

I am trying to print receipts and have unchecked the box at the bottom of the donor activity page so some specific receipts are not printed. When I run the batch receipts with the dates on them that I want--those same donations that have been unchecked appear in the batch to be printed.
Help!

Hi Jan!
When selecting the specifics for what receipts you want pulled, where it states "To be printed: " the default is set to ALL make sure you select "YES" so it will only print the ones that HAVEN'T been printed and not all receipts within your date range. If I can be of further assistance or you need clarification don't hesitate in contacting us. Have a GREAT day!
Blessings,
