We've been using eKyros for 2 years and for the most part it's wonderful. Some features of donor management, however, are causing me some real frustration. I want to provide year-end batch receipts to donors whose total giving was $200 or more. On the batch receipt field, if you specify an amount range, this filter applies to INDIVIDUAL DONATIONS, not to year-end totals. Thus, if you tell it you want donations greater than 200, it only shows the individual donations of 200+ in the batch, and is obviously way wrong. So if you just pull up all donations for the year (without trying to filter out under 200), you get an unmanageable number - that is why I wanted to filter in the first place!!! I go through these crazy drills: OK, I'll (1). create the report, (2) sort by "total year end amount" (a kind of prep to "filter" by deleting), (3) view as "report" (receipt), (4) add my little TY letter I've written. (5 )Next I need to go down the list and delete all below 200. BUT, you can't delete on the report itself (OR CAN YOU?). If you want to delete any donors, you have to export it to Word. Then as a WORD doc, it's this huge, "one page" document that you would have to just scroll to delete one by one, which is an absurd thought! HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!! Refining filtering capability on the report fields would help.

Dear Nancyinfairbanks, Thanks for your candid feedback. We will address this issue in an upcoming update that we plan to release within the next couple weeks. Specifically, we will add a "Total Amount" range that will allow you to filter for the sum of the total giving within the specified date range. I sincerely apologize for the crazy drills this has put you through. I encourage you to give us more feedback on any other "craziness" you have to go through. It's your feedback that makes the software better for all. Thank you!

Hi Nancyinfairbanks and Farmom, We just wanted to update you that the feature you requested is now available. On the Batch Receipt report, you can now filter by the TOTAL donation amount for the date range specified. We pray that this will be helpful for your center! :) In Him, Sarah

Something else that would be nice is if we could delete or exclude the donor receipt before sending it to Word. I have been able to do this with the Microsoft Word Mail Merge and it makes it much easier when someone slips through the cracks of our filtering. I often have those that I do not want to send a receipt to, but I do not want to filter them out because it would possibly fiter out someone or a donation that I want to print. For example, when I fliter for the To Be Printed it does not include their previous donations (if I have checked previously for this to be cleared each time, which I usually do) except as a total and I like for it to show all donations. So I find myself having to do the same as she mentioned above -- deleting them in Word and if you have a large number of reciepts, this can become time consuming. As I always tell you, these are just suggestions to making a Great thing better, you are doing a great job! Thanks again, Angie Cantrell
