We send year end reports to our donors. Is there anyway to generate a report for the total giving except to go to an excel file? |

Hi Marilynvm,
Our "Batch Receipt" (found in Donor Management/Reports) is designed to be a year-end receipt that you can send to all the donors that gave during the year. Their giving history for the entire year will be listed out for them, along with the total $$ amount they gave that year. Once you open up the Batch Receipt, you will want to set the date range to include the entire year.
Then after you run the report, you will see at the top of the list a drop down menu that says "View As." The second option in that list is "Report," which is the formatted receipt. You also have the ability to get mailing labels for all your donors by selecting "Labels." You can even include a customized letter in this receipt, also.

Hi ShawnD,
I'm assuming you would like to add a letter to the Batch Receipts report. Once you set the report options and click "Run Report", just click on the "Report" view in the "Vew as:" list. The formatted report appears. Next, notice there is a new dropdown list next to the "View as:" with the words "---Select a Letter---". Click the dropdown list and select a letter. The letters text will appear in the Report. Please note, if no letters appear in the list, click the elipsis button (the button with 3 dots "...") next to the letter list. A dialog box will appear that will allow you to create a new letter. Hope that helps. |
