Customizing Batch Receipts
Posted: 12 Dec 2007 03:27 PM
Is there a way to customize or save changes to the batch receipts? For instance I like to put a thank you message with our 501c3 information at the bottom. I have saved this as a letter, but it does not put it where I want it to go and then I have to go back and change each letter. It would be nice if we could put our logo on it as well. This is not a major issue, but these are some suggestions that would make it easier.

Also, the donor address on the batch receipt has moved up and no longer falls where it needs to for the window envelopes. I always have to remember to move it down and there is extra space between the donor address and the donation detail. Again minor issues.

You are all doing a great job and I encourage all PTCs to use your database. Thank you for continuing to work to make this better and better.

Hi Angie,

Thanks for your encouragement! This is always nice to hear. :)

The only way to save your changes to the batch receipt (in CenterPiece) is to save your changes to a specific letter used on the receipt. You can use the same letter repeatedly if you would like to. We have had other requests to allow the ability to add a logo, and we will definitely take a look at this for a future enhancement.

The mailing address on the Batch Receipt has been formatted to fit into a #9 double window envelope. If you are using a different number envelope, it may not work properly. Any changes you make to the Margins in Word could also be affecting this. We have done many print tests on several computers previously, and this seems to lining up properly. But, thanks for letting us know that you are having some trouble with this.

We really appreciate your feedback and for taking the time to stay in touch with us! Have a wonderful Christmas! :)

In Him,

Sarah

Thanks Sarah,
After posting this I saw where I think it was Brian had suggested printing out some letterhead with the logo in the right place to print the batch receipts on. That is a great idea.

Thanks again,
Angie Cantrell

Our return address is printed too high on the page so it won't fit in the top window of the # 9 envelope. The spacing between the return address and the donor address is ok but if the return address is wrong then so is the donor address. Please help me correct where they are being printed.

Are you trying to print from Microsoft Word? We recommend that you export to Word for proper printing.

One thing you might try in Microsoft Word is setting your top margin just a bit lower. If you push the margin down just a tad, it will push the return address a bit lower. If you need help with how to do this, just let us know.Smiley

Have a wonderful night!
