Donation Receipts Confusion
Posted: 31 Oct 2007 01:47 PM
Hi, we recently sent out the Ekyros Batch Donor Receipts with a small thank you added to the receipt. This was mailed to all of our donors after our Walk for Life. Many people were confused by the receipt because at the bottom of the receipt is the tear away form that says "Please return the portion with your gift" and then has a space to write in the amount enclosed. Many of our donors thought this was a bill. We received many calls from people telling us they had already paid thier donation. Some have even sent in another check, thinking they had forgotten to pay it. I was just wondering if anyone else has encoutered this problem or if you have any suggestion on how to avoid this. You may even want to remove the bottom tear away section from the batch receipts altogether.

Hi Leahm,

This is by design. A lot of center's like to incude the stub at the botton of the receipt to remind the donors about the next payment. However, there is a checkbox called "show return payment stub at the bottom of the report" under the report options. If you do not want to include the payment stub, just be sure the checkbox is *not* checked. Hope that helps!
