Entering Walk Sponsors

| Instead of using "Walker 1", "Walker 2", etc. as Group Names my center is using Last Names. However when we are on the "Sponsors" tab and are entering in the walker's sponsors, we have to search through a long drop down list. Is it possible to have the Drop down list be alphabetical OR perhaps even better possible for under "Group" to have the option to "Enter 1 or more letters" like there is on the "Donor" one to the left? |

Thanks for giving us this feedback, and I do understand exactly what you are referring to. We'll take a look at the possibility of changing this in a future enhancement. We really appreciate your feedback!

We use "xx-yyy" where xx is the Church Number and yyy is the walker number, and I agree that it has been quite interesting looking for the walkers since they appear in the order they were entered into the program instead of aphabetically or numberically. However, I must again reiterate how awesome you all are for the last repair, and so FAST!!!! YOU ROCK!!!

we did something awesome with group names for walkers!
We put the walkers actual name in group name. sally smith
then we assigned sam and sally's smiths existing file to group captain
and if sam was a walker with his own sponsors we put sam smith in the group name and were still able to use sam and sallys existing file as group captain!
This way when we could used group name as mail merge field for follow up too. worked for child walkers, and helped us not creat separate files for same household.
Plus it was much easier than using "walker 1"
Will do the same for our banquet- rather than table numbers. Since we need the table numbers to be flexible up to the date of event anyway.

| another thing you can do is sort your walkers alphabetically when you first pull up the event- before you go to add a new sponsor- this will create an alphabetical drop down list to work from. |
