Please find an e-mail below from our men's program client advocate. I'm not sure how to help him. Thanks!

I brought this up before, but since you are now handling stats, I thought I'd bring it up again. Under Case Visit, we really need a couple of options added. I think we should add Male STD Screen, Male STD Results, and something for when a male comes in w/ partner for preg. test as well as Male Preg. Support. Right now, all we have for options are individual education and other. Also, are group classes separated by male/female? If not, then we also need separate male/female options for group classes. This will make our stats a lot more accurate.

Hi Shannon!

I hope things are going well in Waco! This is a great question. Actually, this data is already being tracked statistically. When you run the Client Visit Statistic, for measure 1 you'll want to select "Primary Purpose" and for measure 2 select "Gender." This will tell you how many of your STD visits were for males, etc. I would suggest marking all males seen for counseling when their partner comes in for a pt, sono or other service as "concepts shared" in the "primary purpose for visit" field.

We are always very hesitant to add additional items to this "Primary Purpose for Visit" list on the Case Visit form, because this list directly corresponds with question #6 on the Focus on the Family Option Ultrasound Report. We want to keep our list of options matching Focus' list as closely as possible in order to provide accurate reporting. That is why we do not allow you to manually edit this list yourself.

Please let me know if you have any more questions on this. :o)

Sarah
