I see great potential in making eKyros compatible with Mozilla Firefox, as well as Internet Explorer.
Mozilla Firefox has a much greater security, so this would go right along with your commitment to care and confidentiality.
The following is a blurp from Wikipedia
"Security
Firefox uses SSL/TLS to protect communications with web servers using strong cryptography when using the HTTPS protocol.[29] It uses a sandbox security model[30] and the developers use a "bug bounty" scheme, for finding fixes for some security[31] and feature additions. Official guidelines for handling security vulnerabilities discourage early disclosure of vulnerabilities so as not to give potential attackers an advantage in creating exploits.[32]
Because Firefox has fewer and less severe publicly known unpatched security vulnerabilities than Internet Explorer (see Comparison of web browsers), improved security is often cited as a reason to switch from Internet Explorer to Firefox.[33][34][35][36] The Washington Post reports that exploit code for critical unpatched security vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer was available for 284 days in 2006. In comparison, exploit code for critical security vulnerabilities in Firefox was available for 9 days before Mozilla shipped a patch to remedy the problem.[37]
A 2006 Symantec study showed that Firefox had surpassed other browsers in the number of vendor-confirmed vulnerabilities that year through September; these vulnerabilities were patched far more quickly than those found in other browsers.[38] Symantec later clarified their statement, saying that Firefox still had fewer security vulnerabilities than Internet Explorer, as counted by security researchers.[39] As of August 22, 2007, Firefox 2 has six security vulnerabilities unpatched, the most severe of which was rated "less critical" by Secunia.[40] Internet Explorer has ten security vulnerabilities unpatched, the most severe of which was rated "highly critical" by Secunia.[41]"

Hi Ashleigh,
I also have requested support for Firefox about a year or so ago even posting what might be the problem that keeps eKRYOS.com from being able to expand to Firefox. To date, the best suggestion that I can recommend is the use of IETab which is an extension for firefox that allows Internet Explorer only content such as this site to run in firefox. It is essentially nothing more than using Internet Explorer within firefox so all exploits and security risks of Inernet Explorer are still a factor in you computer's safety, but this does prevent you from having both Internet Explorer and Firefox open all the time and cluttering up your computer. I wish I could help more, but this is the only way I have found to make this site work with our preferred choice of web browsers. I am actually using ver. 2.0.0.14 of Firefox with IETab ver. 1.3.3.20070528 to post this message if you are interested. When visiting eKYROS.com be sure to right click and use "Open with IETab" inside of firefox. Nothing changes about eKYROS.com when using IETab it is just like having a tab of Internet Explorer inside of Firefox (almost sounds treasonous does it not?).
For the site admins, these were the errors I posted last summer that were keeping firefox from being able to properly run:
Error: https://www.ekyros.com/cpcontrols_client/common.js: TypeError: Value undefined (result of expression window.createPopup) is not an object. Cannot be called.
Error: https://www.ekyros.com/cpcontrols_client/dropdowncheckboxlist/script.js: TypeError: Value undefined (result of expression window.createPopup) is not an object. Cannot be called.
These errors pertain mostly to when I attempt to use portions of the site the require either drop-down menus or pop-ups to input information that apparently relies on the coding within "dbcombo" of which there are versions compatible with Firefox. |

| Unfortunately this solution still doesn't help us Mac users. Firefox would be great to help us Mac users out so we can use this solution. |

Thank you for your feedback Dahowe! I will again pass this along to our development team. We are looking into the issue, however we cannot commit to any release date. We do know this is a need and are assessing how to best address that.
