Donor Management Posted: 27 Dec 2004 04:06 PM |
Brian,
We receive financial support from churches, however whenever I enter a new donor file, it requires first and last name. This is a problem, is there anything that can be added to support organizational gifts as opposed to individual gifts?
Thanks!

if you leave first name and last name blank, you must enter a name in the organization field. Use this field to enter the name of the church. You should also check the box to save the file as an organization.
Hope that helps.

Hi Brian,
I just got off the phone with Heather and they are not able to search for the organization in Donor Management after they enter it.
I couldn't figure it out, but is there a way to search for an organization that doesn't have a first name and last name?
Thanks so much!!

yes, they need to put the organization name in the organization field. they can leave the firstname lastname fields blank. they also need to check the box that says "save as organization".
how to search:
under donor files, in the search form, the need to select the Search By: Organization from the drop down list. |

Actually, they don't even have to check the box to save as organization. they just need a value in the organization field |
