Dual entry to eKyros and Accounting System?
Posted: 26 Oct 2006 01:31 PM
I'm looking for some feedback from the group on how they handle donations. Historically we've used Quickbooks to handle our accounting. We input donations and setup pledges as invoices.

Now that we're using eKyros, I'd love to also have that information online associated with donors and events/campaigns, but it seems like a lot of work to enter that information twice. On average we get 50 donations a month (excluding banquet, walks, etc).

Is that how others do it? Any suggestions?

Thanks so much.

Larry

Hi Larry,

We plan to add the ability to integrate with Quickbooks in a future update....where you will be able to synchronize donors, donations and pledges between QB and eKYROS. However, the donor management module will probably never support full blown accounting functionality since there are so many good solutions out there (including QB and Microsoft Small Biz Accounting). You will probably always want to use both since they "complement" each other. Hope that helps.
