Focus on the Family Report Posted: 21 Aug 2006 05:01 PM |
When we file a report for FOTF, often we don't have a client's final decision. Say in June, she was abortion minded. In July we run the report and she still is abortion minded or undecided, If she changes her mind in August or September, and decides to parent, when will that statistic come through in the Focus report? |

Hi Terri,
These are very good questions. Because the Focus on the Family Option Ultrasound Report is done on a monthly basis, the data must be limited only to what happened in that one month.
The pregnancy intentions tracked on this report are specifically connected with pregnancy tests and ultrasounds done ONLY in that current month, and the wording on the report reflects this also. One way to think of it is that each client who has a preg. test or ultrasound is only counted ONE time on this report. In that ONE time they are counted, the most current and up to date pregnancy intentions are reflected in Centerpiece's Option Ultrasound report. Once you turn your report into FOTF, that is the cut-off point. If a client calls you the next week and says that she has changed her pregnancy intentions, you should definitely update this info in CenterPiece, but your report has already been turned into FOTF. So, there must be a cut-off date monthly, and that date is when the report is turned into Focus. This is how FOTF designed the report to be and we have also followed those guidelines.
I know this is very complicated so please let me know if you have any more questions on this. Also, please keep in mind that in CenterPiece your center can continue to track pregnancy intentions at any point throughout a client's case by using our statistics.
Thanks,
Sarah Miller |
