Could you please tell me how the computer designates the ID # to a client.

Hi Sarah,
The system assigns id #'s in consecutive numeric order across all file types--whether a client, donor, or staff file.
Example:
You add in a new client file and it is assigned file id # 150. You then add in a staff file, and it's file id # would be 151. The next file (whether client, donor, or staff) would be #152.
