Where can I enter a specific follow-up date for a client? (for example, a volunteer wants a reminder to follow up with a client in 2 weeks)?

Hi nancyg,

to add follow-up, complete the following steps:

1) Under Client Management, search for the client file.
2) In the first column of the search results, there should be a gray or red flag.
3) click the flag to the left of the client's name.
4) the follow-up dialog opens.
5) click the "Add New" button.
6) the add/edit follow-up dialog opens.
7) enter the date the staff/vol should follow-up with the client in the "due date" field. note: the due date specifies when the follow-up task comes due. it is not a pregancy related due date.
8) select the staff/volunteer's name in the "assign to" list.
9) enter any comments.
10) click insert
11) the follow-up task is saved and the dialog closes.
12) notice the task shows up under the "items due" tab in the follow-up dialog.
13) click close, the followup dialog closes and a red flag appears next to the client's name.

that's it!

Note: in the search results, red flags next to the client files means there are follow-up tasks that are associated to the file and have not been completed.

Also, check out the "client file follow-up" report under "client management/reports" to view a list of all follow-up coming due for your staff/clients.

hope that helps!
