Considering Abortion Stats
Posted: 15 Nov 2005 04:09 PM
Brian,

What is the source for tracking "Considering Abortion" stats on the Statistics/Pregnancy Test Form? Would it be #14 on the Preg Test form or the Initial Assessment (before or after)?

I understand the stats for "Changed Abortion View" are pulled from the Assessment Before and Assessment After Support, is this correct?

Thank you,
Sheena

Hi smcadoo,

The source for "Considering Abortion" is question #4: "What is your assessment of the client's pregnancy intentions after support?". This statistic will show all clients who are still flagged as "Abortion Minded" or "Undecided" (i.e. abortion vulnerable).

Yes, the "Changed Abortion View" numbers are also pulled from question #4.

Hope that helps!

Carlye

Thanks Carlye,

Is the measure "Considering Abortion" going to pull all clients regardless of the test result?

For example, when I run a Statistics report on the Pregnancy Test Form, searching by Center Location and Changed Abortion View, it breaks it down into several categories including "Negative / Inconclusive." So I assume that the "Did Not Change Abortion View" and "Changed Abortion View" categories include only positive test clients. Is this correct?

However, if I run a Statistics report on the Pregnancy Test Form, searching by Center Location and Considering Abortion, it seems that this report is including both positive test and negative test clients in each category ("Considering Abortion" and "Not Considering Abortion"). Am I reading it correctly?

I know I can add another measure and search by Test Result as well. But I just wanted to make sure I'm reading the report correctly.

Thanks,
Sheena

To see results broken out by test result, include the test result in the report.

Here's how:

In the Pregnancy Test Form statistics:

Set measure 1 to "test result"
Set measure 2 to "Considering Abortion"

run the report. in the results, you will see all clients considering abortion grouped by test result.

hope that helps.
