2. | Re: how heard about us report Posted by tommyt on 9/12/2008 2:16:15 PM
Hi, LauraF!
There is a report on the Statistics page called "Initial Visit Form". When you select this, you would then select "How client heard about us" in Column 2 of the stat and run the report.
Hope this helps and thanks for the post!

3. | Re: tracking home and hospital visits Posted by tommyt on 2/27/2009 8:00:01 AM
Hello, ScienceLady!
Thanks for your post. CareNet would not consider that as a visit unless it took place at your center. You can still keep track of these visits as Notes in CenterPiece, though, so you have some documentation.
Let us know if we can help any further.
Bless you,
Tommy |
4. | Re: Staff Management Posted by tommyt on 1/23/2009 8:37:36 AM
Charise,
Thanks for your post! You can track any training information in the Notes section of each staff/volunteer record. You will add this to a staff/volunteer record by selecting "Add New > Note" and then entering the information. You can then view this under the Notes tab in the staff/volunteer record.
I hope this helps! Let us know if you need any additional assistance.
Bless you,
Tommy |
5. | Re: email receipts Posted by tommyt on 12/11/2008 7:36:29 AM
Hello Timeless!
Thanks for all your encouragement about our program. We are so glad that it helps you spend more time with people and less time recordkeeping. I agree that email is a great way to cut costs and we are currently working to add that feature to CenterPiece. Hopefully, we will have this sometime early next year and we will let everyone know when that is available.
Bless you and thanks for the post!

Timeless,
You are not dense! I can help walk you through the steps. After your first time doing it, it will come easier.
Here are the steps:
1) Run your batch receipts and view the report.
2) Choose a letter you have created in the "Select a Letter" drop down menu OR click the ellipsis box [...] and create a new one.
3) If you have created a new letter, make sure that you save it when you are finished.

Tim,
Thanks for the question. No, at this time you can't edit the bottom portion of the receipts, but I will be sure to add this to our future requests list. I think it's a great idea.
I am glad that you are using the program! Please always feel free to ask questions and post feature requests as we value your ideas to make CenterPiece better and better!
Bless you,

9. | Re: Batch Receipts Posted by tommyt on 10/23/2008 3:06:22 PM
Timeless,
You can include a customized letter section to any of your receipts. The batch receipt can be customized to include your statements, such as, "Please review your contact info...", as well as any special notices such as "Plan for our upcoming banquet" or "Thanks for partnering with us this year through our Walk for Life...".
All of this is done under the letter section and can be saved for future mailings. So, if ... |

Tim,
As part of our Donor Management enhancement coming in the next few months, we are looking at this family profile idea as one of the new features. Keep checking out the main eKYROS.com webpage and we will have an announcement when the enhancements are ready.

12. | Re: Microsoft Software donations for PRC's Posted by tommyt on 1/20/2009 8:10:17 AM Keith,
You are correct that the Techsoup software donors, like Microsoft, will not donate to non-profits like yours since you promote Christianity. When I was a center director, I tried this and was turned down for this exact reason.
You are correct that Openoffice.org 3.0 is available for free download and supports Microsoft Word documents, but we don't support the results you may get. I have used the software and get mixed results when converting from MS ... |
13. | Re: Prayer Request Posted by tommyt on 6/17/2008 12:37:28 PM Kristi,
First of all, thanks so much for posting this prayer request. It's great to see your heart for the ministry and allow us to join in prayer with you.
This is a seeming impossible situation from our human perspective with two outcomes. But, with God, we know that there is always another option!
Lord, please give Kristi and her staff wisdom about this situation that they continue give loving counsel and support. If it is your ... |

Thanks for your post. Your idea to add "Category" to the statistics for client data has been sent to the development team and we will see what we can do.
Thanks again and bless you!

17. | Re: Inactive Donor Files Posted by tommyt on 2/26/2009 2:06:58 PM
Patricia,
Thanks for the great question. The Status being set as "Active" or "Inactive" simply flags the account so you can select this group of people from the report options screen. Hold mail works the same way.
Here is an example:
I want to print a letter and mailing labels for all of my active donors. I would run the Donor Files report, then under the report options screen I will select Status > ... |
18. | Re: Pledges Posted by tommyt on 2/27/2009 8:19:48 AM
cisen,
I apologize for the delay in responding to your post. If I understand your request, you would like to remove or "retire" a pledge category such as "Banquet 2008" when all pledges have been fulfilled. Are you referring to the Event name list on the pledge form?
Thanks for your patience and for helping clarify your request. I will look forward to your reply.

20. | Re: missing amount in report as a letter Posted by tommyt on 2/27/2009 8:12:07 AM
ShawnD,
Thanks for your post. I have tried this in our demo database and I think I see the problem. The mail merge field "AmountReceived" seems t have replaced the previous field named "Amount". If you change the mail merge field to the "AmountReceived", everything should work properly.
Sorry for the confusion. Let us know if we can help any further.

21. | Re: Updating the Case Form Posted by tommyt on 2/23/2009 1:25:19 PM
cindyo,
Thanks for your post! Let me answer this in several parts so we can take a look at how these stats are counted.
1) The Case form is where you want to update the client's pregnancy intentions whenever there is a change. That way you can look at her file and see her current intentions.
2) The Pregnancy Test form and Sonogram form track a changed abortion view by assessing the client's pregnancy intentions both before and ... |
22. | Re: Helpline Volunteer Computer Posted by tommyt on 2/20/2009 11:05:32 AM
melissa,
My guess is that her version of Internet Explorer is not current or that the program itself has a bug. I would suggest that she download and install IE version 7 and see if that fixes the issue.
Let us know if you need further assistance with this.

23. | Re: formatting receipts in MS Word Posted by tommyt on 2/20/2009 8:08:11 AM
bev,
Thanks for your post. The only section of the Batch Receipt that is editable is the letter section you can add above the donation detail. You can run the Donations report and create an entirely custom letter that can function as a receipt, if you need something totally different from the Batch Receipt.
Hope this helps!
Bless you,

Sorry about that link! The Care Net user guide is available on our public website. It is under the PRC Software Tab and is the first download under User Guides.
Here is a direct link:

As far as your example, if the user guide is not clear, let me know and I can tell you exactly where stas are being pulled from.
