1. | Re: Donor Segments Posted by sueoc on 1/14/2011 9:49:31 AM I totally agree with Jolisas :)
It would be great if the donor report could include all categories assigned to each donor- We end up doing alot for excel work creating direct mail lists.
I've used a few other online databases and they seem to have an export ability that dumps all info into a CSV or excel doc. It would be really useful if Ekyros could do that too- even if the number of columns seem ridiculous...lol!
Is this on the near horizon? |
2. | Re: Donor Segments Posted by sueoc on 1/19/2011 9:20:08 PM would it be possible to add the categories column to the donor files report?- I notice that multiple categories are listed on the file summary reports, so I'm thinking the data is available...
Even if all the catergories checked are in one cell- (maybe seperated by commas?) it would be hugely helpful. |
3. | Re: Who altered a client file? Posted by sueoc on 10/15/2012 2:51:30 PM It would be nice if there was a way to have the staff name input field for whoever does the actual data entry separate than the staff name of the advocate that met with the client.
Sort of like the Donation form does... the staff name on that form typically indicates who is doing the entry and does not represent who actually received the donation from the donor.
I think most centers share user IDs among a few people rather than one per person. In addition, the ... |
4. | Re: Who altered a client file? Posted by sueoc on 10/15/2012 3:52:34 PM thanks Amy
We have 10 user Id's- we have multiple sites, and have had almost 4000 client visits to date for 2012 .
enough user IDs only solve the problem if we have a way to track the user...but since the client forms only track the advocate then we are unable to see who entered which file...
Which is why I like the donation form, it allows you to see who did the input. Is there anyway to add that feature?
Seems like its just ... |
5. | Re: Who altered a client file? Posted by sueoc on 10/15/2012 4:14:08 PM I checked it out. and it sure does list which user ID was used to update the form.
I'd still value the ability to differentiate at entry. We do have 10 user Id's, but still end up sharing.
The volume of files, combined with schedules and sites, requires our data entry to be done by multiple people.
The user ID record at the bottom of the form is a big help though- thanks!

7. | Re: Exit Survey Tracking Posted by sueoc on 1/13/2011 1:25:37 PM I figured out a way to use the "concepts shared" via office forms!! It allows us to track survey results and generate a report for the ED!
I'd be happy to share :)
email sue@alternativespc.org and I can send you docs with how to. |
8. | Re: Exit Survey Tracking Posted by sueoc on 1/13/2011 4:29:15 PM I just now sent a copy of what I did in the concepts shared form :)
Thanks for all you do! |
9. | Re: Adding Appointments from Client File Posted by sueoc on 6/4/2010 6:38:15 AM One way we are able to go into a report or apontment book and not leave a file is to open a second ekyros window- this way you can toggle from window to window. Just make sure to refresh so your changes will show on the second window.
if you hit ctrl N while viewing a file you can get a duplicate window- great trick I learned from QB online :)
Makes it much easier! We do this following an event too- to help guard against creating duplicate files. |
10. | Re: Staff Management Posted by sueoc on 6/4/2010 6:30:45 AM is it possible to run a report of a staff listing that includes the notes in columns?
That way you don't have to go into each individual file to view notes, but could get a quick snapshot for reporting purposes

12. | Re: Appointment Book - Non-client appts Posted by sueoc on 6/4/2010 6:43:14 AM Just want to share my agreement for this feature to be developed :)
It would be really helpful - especially as we try to move towrds keeping our appointment book online- currently we use an actual book- and our EK book is filled in post appointments only....
We'd love to be ready for the option line integration- but are still figuring out how to make the EK appointment book work for us.
Love you guys and all you do to keep improving this tool for ... |
13. | Re: Changing user ids Posted by sueoc on 3/13/2010 4:11:54 PM I am trying to add a user acct- but when I assign it to an existing staff member it wont allow it- saying that the staff ID is already in use, but that staff file is not assigned to a user acct.
What am I doing wrong, it doesn't seem to matter which existing staff file I try?

15. | Re: Materials donations Posted by sueoc on 12/28/2009 3:41:24 PM I am having a problem with using the "in kind" for material donations. It appears that there is no way to remove the zero value from the statement? |
16. | Re: Event totals Posted by sueoc on 7/16/2009 10:30:21 AM Thank you for all you are doing.
I know we can pull up reports to get accurate info- and that is good.
I do hope you are able to change it on the events page however- because it would make life easier for meand when you see the history of events in that page it would be nice to not have to pull reports to compare past years every time...
An accurate snapshot would ... |
17. | Re: Event totals Posted by sueoc on 7/15/2009 11:16:26 PM my experience is that the donations do increase though the pledges don't decrease
example:
events pledged donations
Capitol Walk 2009 $10,906.00 $13,501.00 154 572
our donations recieved day of event was just over $5000
pledges were 10.906.00
the amount pledged does not decrease- but the donations column increases as pledges are filled.
this is misleading.
I have called support and I ... |
18. | Re: Entering Walk Sponsors Posted by sueoc on 7/16/2009 10:04:15 AM we did something awesome with group names for walkers!
We put the walkers actual name in group name. sally smith
then we assigned sam and sally's smiths existing file to group captain
and if sam was a walker with his own sponsors we put sam smith in the group name and were still able to use sam and sallys existing file as group captain!
This way when we could used group name as mail merge field for follow up too. worked for child walkers, ... |
19. | Re: Entering Walk Sponsors Posted by sueoc on 7/16/2009 10:06:25 AM another thing you can do is sort your walkers alphabetically when you first pull up the event- before you go to add a new sponsor- this will create an alphabetical drop down list to work from. |
20. | Re: Baby Bottle Fundraiser Set-Up Posted by sueoc on 7/16/2009 9:51:05 AM we set up our bottles sort of like our walk
The church is the "group name" - the church is the "group captain" - the individual bottle totals (whether an anonymous batch or identified via check or tags) are logged in as sponsors.
It seemed to work well for us...coin is fun stuff huh?
