1. | Adding Resources Posted by joneskl on 10/23/2018 2:13:45 PM Hi, we are having trouble with one of our advocates adding appointment resources without approval of staff. This lead to a discussion on how it would be nice to have certain features lead or not lead into different functions. I understand there are some roles already but it would be nice to limited some things. Like I am a Director, wants access to assigning roles and passwords etc, but not access to donor management. My advocates, nice to let them have access to Client Management but they ... |
2. | Re: Several Feature Requests/Suggestions Posted by joneskl on 8/22/2018 8:37:48 AM I would like to weigh in on abuckner's suggestions! I think that the top two suggestions are great ideas. We started having a problem with persons that were making appointments, somebody else looks at it, closes it and then we can't track who ever made the original appointment. we even started putting in comments who made appointment, so we can track issues.
For our program people, it would be nice to enter thier due date for tracking purposes. Sometimes, they ... |
3. | Suggestions Posted by joneskl on 8/6/2018 8:12:59 AM I would like to make some suggestions to add to the assessments.
Under the pregnancy test LMP, a approximate button might be nice, or even a unknown. Under same assessment. Selection for none under Birth control.
Under the health history, change the writer from plugging in the name of the person that triggers case. We have volunteers that enter case information,a lot of times. I think that it should be a nurse putting in that history.

5. | Re: ultrasound reader Posted by joneskl on 12/15/2017 9:47:28 AM We are lucky! we have a radiologist that reads them for free! Our medical director talked him in to it years ago! Blessed! |
6. | Re: ultrasound equipment Posted by joneskl on 12/15/2017 9:49:27 AM Our center got lucky and the Knights of Columbus got us a new machine. They gave us a Esaote. Very nice. Easy to use. not necessarily meant for OBGYN but still very easy to use. We also have a old GE loqic e. It is very complicated. |
7. | Tracking EDD for Program Clients Posted by joneskl on 8/22/2017 9:07:05 AM Hello, with the new updates (which I like) I would like to make a suggestion. The program director and I were talking today that it would be nice to have the EDD under Medical History if it was not given by our center instead of under Pregnancy Test with POP by another Provider. Then it would be nice if that was the default that if Pregnancy test and Ultrasound EDD did not get entered the EDD by another provider under Medical History would show up under case list so when we run reports for ... |
8. | Focus on Family Report Posted by joneskl on 9/3/2015 12:07:25 PM Hi, I wish more people would look at the Forum! Great place to look for some help with CPC issues! I just filled out the Focus on Family Report for our center and the FOF report for ekyros is not the same as the numbers that FOF uses on their data website. Close but I don't think that it is the same numbers. It's ok but it is confusing and takes me a little bit longer to make sure I get it right.

9. | Re: TB testing Posted by joneskl on 6/18/2013 6:57:58 AM The hospital that I also work for, with the blessing of the state of Indiana, is not doing annual TB testing. We are screening employees annually around flu season/shot time. If they are symptomatic or high risk they will be testing. Now having said that, we are considering that at our center because TB is expensive. |
10. | Using Non Nurses for pregnancy tests. Posted by joneskl on 11/21/2014 11:56:51 AM I have at time faced not having enough nurse volunteers to work at our centers. I have had EMTs, QMAs and Nurse Aids want to help. My doctor and I are willing to sign off on them to do pregnancy tests. We plan on giving them training on doing the UPTs just like the nurses. I would like to know what other centers are doing to stretch non licensed staff in nursing shortages?
Please any help?

11. | Re: eKYROS TESTIMONIES Posted by joneskl on 11/22/2014 7:46:11 AM We have been using ekyros for about a year and a half. The best part about ekyros for me as the Nurse Manager has been the statistics and reports option. In a very short while, I can run reports and submit data for things like the Focus on the Family Ultrasound OUP report.
One of the drawbacks is getting every one trained. Some pick it up and go with it. Some picked it up slower. Some use it technically solid without errors. Some miss this or forget how to do things. ... |
12. | Femur Lenght Posted by joneskl on 11/9/2014 6:06:22 PM Hello,
We are currently using FL or Femur Lengths on our limited ultrasound patients as a measurement. I would like to see this added to the form. I like all the new changes on the US report but would like to see this also!
Thanks, Karen Jones RN |
13. | Re: Femur Lengths Posted by joneskl on 11/21/2014 11:48:21 AM I was taught both. I was told to do FL if BPD was sub optimal. My nurses were recently trained to do FL first then BPD second for various reasons. I have even seen some webinars on FL and it can be a great tool. For the time being we just put it in comments.
Blessings! Karen |
14. | Re: Moving Risk Assessment Posted by joneskl on 6/30/2014 1:34:07 PM Thank you both for the reply.
I understand the time line and where you are going, but...
I know that most of the time our client don't disclose they are abortion minded until the nurse does her Test questions. We asked them if they are going to parent, Adopt etc.
I always have Risk Assessment #1 in my mind before I walk into the room to tell her the results.
I just am always having to go back to the Case Form and bug my nurses ... |
15. | Moving Risk Assessment Posted by joneskl on 6/30/2014 1:06:29 PM You currently have the Risk Assessment #1 under case form. The nurse doing the Pregnancy has to go back and chart this.
I feel I would get better compliance if this is done at the end of the Pregnancy Test questions right before I document her results.
And it would be great to have s pull down box for risk assessment #2 before sonogram on sonogram form. It would be even better if it collated that data from Post Pregnancy Test form to that form if it was ... |
16. | Re: Case Form Zip Code Posted by joneskl on 6/30/2014 1:19:26 PM Thank you for your prompt reply Amy!
Ok, if I go to Statistics and run Appointments for Center and choose zip code the stats will only be ran using Question 17 data?

17. | Re: Case Form Zip Code Posted by joneskl on 6/30/2014 1:21:52 PM Amy,
I have seen this time stamp, is there any other time stamp? If I had testify who did what to the chart, would I be able to see all activity?
Thank you, Karen |
18. | Case Form Zip Code Posted by joneskl on 6/30/2014 1:01:06 PM Under the Case Form Question #17 asks for zip code. How is this being used? For statistics? We have putting one zip code for all the zip codes from that one county in this spot so we can run statistics for that county, but I just can't seem to differentiate this question from the client's actual address zip code! When I run statistics it seems to run the stats based on her actual address zip code not by the data code I put in Question #17.
Any my next ... |
19. | Re: Average time it takes to enter a client's preg test visit? Posted by joneskl on 6/16/2014 9:17:48 PM To save time, we trigger the record and input demographics, bring the patient back and get through the pregnancy test in about 5 minutes. This gives the nurse more time without them getting impatient. We have them fill out the demographics on paper with a consent. A volunteer or receptionist inputs that pretty easy. |
20. | Partner Information Posted by joneskl on 3/17/2014 3:40:42 PM I went to go look at a client's partner information and now I can not see it. The new update has that on the demographic form. I am disappointed that all that old information is not accessible with the new update. |
21. | Re: Partner Information Posted by joneskl on 3/17/2014 4:43:04 PM Wheewwww! Thank you so much for your prompt reply. I am glad it is still there, just moved! I thought for a second there I was losing my mind! |

23. | Signed Pregnancy Orders Posted by joneskl on 6/17/2013 4:47:27 PM Help! I am a new Nurse Manager for a Crisis Pregnancy Center. We recently started using the Center Point for charting. My Director has some concerns regarding not having a doctor's order signed by the nurse on the chart, for both a urine pregnancy test and sonogram. What are other centers doing? |
