1.Zip Code Export to Excel

Good morning!

In NJ, the zip codes begin with "0". When I create a spreadsheet that includes zip codes, I need to format that column as "text", then type in the zips. Because I'm exporting to a new spreadsheet from e-Kyros, I cannot pre-format the zip column, but there are too many to add the "0's" manually. How do you suggest I can solve this problem when I need a spreadsheets with zip codes?

I'm so sorry I did not clarify. Excel leaves the first "0" our of the zip code when it is downloaded to a spreadsheet.

Here is an example:

Morristown, NJ's zip is 07960.

When I export info onto an Excel spreadsheet from e-Kyros, it posts the zip as: 7960

I lose the "0" because it's the first digit. I can call you if you would prefer to go over this. Youc an let me know.

We're all a bit dazed and confused!! :)

When I'm in Reports, there are times I need to create a spreadsheet for mailing purposes, or just for our own info. For example, right now we are preparing for Golf 09, so I need a spreadsheet for each past Golfer of their past sponsors, including the sponsors mailing address.

I go to the Report tab and create a report, then where you have the Export To tab, I select Excel, then Go.

5.Deleting Donation Receipts

Hi, I was wondering if there was a more direct way to delete a Donation Receipt. Rather than scrolling through the different pages of the receipts printed, can I search for it on the Receipting Tab? Sometimes I have a couple hundred receipts in one printing--depending on the time of year, even though I print receipts weekly.

I hope you have a more direct way. What I would LOVE to see is the ability to not have to take the step of deleting the receipt before I adjust a ...
6.Additional "Print Receipts" Optioins

We are having more and more donors request speciffic Donation Receipts. Some want them sent via email, others through the mail--but not after each donation, still others want to just receive receipts--but not additional mailings.

In the future, would you be able to add additional check boxes, other than "hold" on the General page? Some suggestions might include: Electronic Mail Only, Donation Receipts Only: after each donation, quarterly, etc...

7.Copy/Paste--New Letters

Hi, again! :)

I'm hoping you can tell me why when I copy a new letter from a Word document into New Letters in e-Kyros, it pastes additional information that was not typed on the Word document? I'm going to include a copy of the latest example of this below. Please send me your thoughts, so I don't have to keep going back and deleting sections of the letter. Also me know if you have any additional questions.

9.Year To Date Total Donations

I sent out our Donation Receipts for our Banquet, that was held two weeks ago, last week. Over the week-end, I've had donors call b/c their Year To Date Totals do not reflect their actual giving. When I run independent Donation Receipts, the total amount is correct.

The Donation Receipts' criteria selected under "Event" was "Banquet09" vs. "All", which was the only varience. We ran a speciffic "Event" b/c all of our ...

Hi, Brian.

I find myself in a similar situation, where I need to delete an individual's donation, but can't b/c it is "attached" to the receipt that was already sent out. I also had clicked on the Clear To Be Printed tab.

I just want to understand that I will have to erase the whole batch of saved receipts, in order to delete just one receipt? If I am misunderstanding, can you further explain. If I am correct, I will lose about 80 saved ...
12.Baby Bottle Fundraiser Set-Up

Hi!

Can you help me set-up Events for our Baby Bottle fundraiser that begins this week-end? I thought I could set it up, but I do not think I did it properly. I need to keep track of the church donations, as well as, those who donate individually, but I want to link them to his/her church for a final total.

Good morning!

I am blessed to work from home a couple of days each week in the summers. Since last year, we purchased an I-Mac at home. Last night I tried to go onto e-Kyros, but it stated that I could not access the site through Safari. Am I able to download Internet Explorer onto an I-Mac? I did not think it was compatable with Apple, but I could very well be wrong about this.

If Internet Explorer and Apple are not compatable, do you have any suggestions? ...

Hi, I would love to see both spouses names when the Search Results are posted. Sometimes I can have up to 4 screens of names to go through to find the spouse of a donor. Is there anyway that this can happen ASAP?

Thanks for the updated notes from last night. Can you let me know how I can now clear the "Print Receipt" box after receipting? There used to be a Clear Batch Receipts box, but that box is no longer there. I'm hoping that there is a way to still do that.

Hi, there. We run our 24 hour hotline through our volunteer's computers at there homes. One of our volunteers is having problems entering new clients to schedule an appointment. Here is what she wrote me:

Happy New Year. I just got off the phone with a donor and she was a bit upset because her Donation Receipt stated that here gift was a “Taxable Amount”. Of course, I ensured her that it was tax-deductible, pulled her account to double check, and all the fields seemed to be in order. As I was talking to her, I had a stack of receipts to go out and I double checked them and some of them did, indeed, state “Taxable Amount” instead of “Tax-Deductible Amount”. I printed them through Batch ...

Good morning, can you tell me of a way to create a list of those donors who have been recently entered into e-Kyros, say in the last 6 months? We want to include them in our Christmas mailing, but they have not necessarily made an actual donation, as of yet.

When I ran this, it included donors that were not "new" in e-Kyros, nor were they new donors. Any additional suggestions as to how we can narrow this down to new contacts that might not be donors, yet?

Hi, Sarah and Tom.

I am trying to print my Batch Receipts for donors, but it they will not line up on my paper. It either becomes too long, where it continues onto a second page, or it is too short, and the perferation cuts off part of the receipt. I am using invoice paper w/ perferation 31/2" from the bottom of the page.

I actually had this problem a couple of other times. I was told, in the past, that it was our Word program, but I have tried to ...

Hi, agian! When we do bulk mailings, we need to keep the lables sorted by zip codes. While this is available through e-Kyros, I can only do it from the highest number to the lowest number, therefore, we need to work backwards.
Am I missing a way to sort by zip, but from lowest to greatest?
