When I try to delete a Donor Category, I get a long error in red.
I really hope this doesn't mean I can't delete a category that a donor has active. I have about 100 categories that we don't use anymore, and they need deleting, so that we can make the category function meaningful.
I'm sure all the categories have at least one donor on its list (or vice versa.)

Hi, thanks so much for implementing future dates for donations! I enter them one day ahead of the actual deposit, so this makes our books much more accurate!
One thing I did notice though, is that I had forgotten to enter a note on a donation, so I clicked on it, edited the receipt note field, and when I tried to save, it wouldn't let me, citing that the date was in the future, and that was unacceptable. So looks like some more arcane bits of code didn't get the memo. ... |

I am concerned that I'm not able to set the "Date of Donation" to later on this week, when I'm entering donations into the system.
The bookeeper here has to have a printed report of the donations that I've entered into the system, to be sure that I've done it correctly, and resolve any problems prior to the actual deposit, which happens the day after I enter it into CP.

but there's no 'report' that's ready to print for pledge reminders? I have the choice to view the results as a list, labels or letter. Why no report?
I'm not sure how to create a letter that 'mail merges' in the proper information for the donor, and I need to get reminders printed quickly, since my receipt mailing volunteer is here now. I didn't think I'd need to create anything to print out the reminders.

Is this possible? It's so much more expensive and more work to send them separately, as there are often duplicates.

We'd like to send out a statement that shows not only what they've paid in the past month and a total for the year, but a list of all donations for the year to date, along with any pledges they've made, paid up or not, all sorted by date.
This is a very convenient way to:
A) Catch past clerical errors before it's time for End of Year receipting, and it's a scramble for tax season. ("Oh, I paid my March pledge, didn't you get ... |

These two would be very useful.
Because of the extra donation sorting and tracking needs of my center, we use the check # field to denote different things sometimes, such as differentiating our Credit Card EFTs from our Bank Draft EFTs. It seems impossible to get a report that proves that I've entered the Credit Card EFTs with a nice neat total, because the CC EFTs are drawn on the same date as the Bank Draft EFTs. I'm needing to run a report for an upcoming Board Meeting.
They'd like a list of everyone who's given money for the first time within the month of June.
Is there a way to tweak the data within the Donations Report to get this? |

This is a good start, but the issue is that they want first time givers, not really new records. Someone may have been entered into the system years ago, but just this june finally gave. Is there a way to capture pre-existing people who have just in June given for the first time? |

Do we divide this check up into several different "Donations" all with the same check #, or is there a way to link multiple pledges to one payment?
