1. | several suggestions Posted by boots on 11/6/2008 1:29:56 PM I would like to offer some suggestions to improve some features of ekyros. As we use it, we discover we love it more, and we also seem to always find ways of wanting it to do more! :0)1. I like that the clients in the appointment book are connected to their case files, but it would also be helpful if they didn't REQUIRE being connected to a case file. FOr instance, I would like to enter an appointment for a client who calls in, but only complete the case information when she shows up. We ... |
2. | Appointment book Posted by boots on 8/13/2008 11:07:31 AM When I open the appointment book, it does not open automatically to today's date, but rather to the last date that had been entered or checked. This has caused us moments of confusion when we initially think we are looking at today, but then realize it's not. Is there a setting that determines this? If so, where do I find it? If not, could you consider this for the future -- to have the appointment book automatically open to today's date with the daily format. Thanks! |
3. | search by first name alone Posted by boots on 6/24/2008 11:22:11 AM Hi, We've been thinking it would be good to have the ability to search the files for clients by first name only. There are many times when we can think of a client's first name, but not her last, and then have to go through the whole client list to find her.

4. | Re: search by first name alone Posted by boots on 6/24/2008 11:53:36 AM Thanks, we didn't know that! (or didn't remember!) It works just fine. We appreciate the quick response. |
5. | Re: abortion calls and total abortion vulnerable contacts Posted by boots on 3/10/2008 12:45:12 PM This is exactly the question I was going to post. When I was filling out the recent Focus on the Family survey of PRCs, I realized that the statistic on positive tests and abortion-minded clients was only a small portion of those with whom we had actually had conversations and shared information about abortion. I came to eKyros to dig around and see if there was something else I could be doing to track those phone calls you mentioned.
The appointment book suggestion may help ... |
6. | "program" feature Posted by boots on 1/11/2008 12:22:22 PM I've been using CenterPiece long enough now to know the basics, but as I'm trying to find out specific statistics, I'm seeing that there is still more to learn! I know that at some point I saw a place to designate the "program" a client was associated with. At the time, I didn't know how I would use that, so I have been ignoring it. Now I have an idea for using it to help me sort clients served under our grant program, and I can't figure out where I saw it. Can ... |
7. | Re: "program" feature Posted by boots on 1/14/2008 11:59:03 AM Ok, I found what you were talking about, but I don't think it will work for me to do what I wanted.
What I'm looking for is a way to designate clients served under a specific grant, so that I can easily find statistics on just that group. Do you have any suggestions? Would "Category" help me do that? (I haven't really used that feature at this point either.) Or is there another way? |
8. | Recording Baby Bucks earned Posted by boots on 7/31/2007 3:45:36 PM Our center awards baby bucks to clients (Through our Earn While You Learn program) for some things they do outside our center, i.e. prenatal visits, WIC visits, Early Childhood classes, etc. We would like to keep track of these contacts to demonstrate the networking we do with other agencies. I could do this on a spread sheet, but would rather have it connected to the client data in CenterPiece. Can you think of a way to do this? Is there a current feature that would work to keep track of ... |
9. | print list of individual education Posted by boots on 7/10/2007 11:12:14 AM I have a client who needs a list of all the individual education topics he has studied. Each of the appointments has included an individual education form. When I run a file summary report, showing activity, only the initial visit and two concepts shared show up.
I printed his "activity" list directly, which shows two full pages of appointments/ind. education. However, it does not list the non-curriculum videos or literature that were documented.

10. | marital status, check all that apply Posted by boots on 3/12/2007 3:40:35 PM On our intake sheet we have added "Check all that apply" to our marital status section. It would be very nice if Centerpiece could do this as well. This is very helpful in getting more complete information. For instance, a client who must choose one option might check only "single", but it tells us a lot more if she checks "single, divorced, and living together"
I don't know if it is possible to do this or not, and how it would affect the ... |
11. | literature list Posted by boots on 11/16/2006 1:06:10 PM I have edited the literature list on the Office Use Only form, but these new titles do not show up when I try to enter new "individual education" for a client. The videos I have entered are in both places, but not the literature. Can you tell me what I need to do differently? |
12. | Re: literature list Posted by boots on 12/5/2006 10:28:07 AM I figured it out with a little more experimenting! There are two places to enter literature in the office use only form. The one I was using corresponded with a different client form, not individual education. I have it working now. Thanks, anyway! |
13. | referrals Posted by boots on 11/28/2006 12:09:28 PM Looking back at past forums on this topic, I see one posted on Sept 13, 2005 that makes it appear that we should be able to edit the referrals list on the office use only form. However, I can not find the way to do this. Am I misunderstanding the post, or missing the method? I would like to be able to customize the referrals list to our local resources. |
14. | Client intention Posted by boots on 11/6/2006 4:04:53 PM On the pregnancy test form, client intention is asked, both before counseling and after. If the test is negative, client intentions afterward don't apply, yet that field is there for all clients. I'm new to this, so I'm wondering how this shows up on reports/stats when looking at clients who changed their minds about intentions due to counseling.
